In Stockton Ca. 2 out of 3 homes are foreclosure homes and in Stockton Ca. 3 out of 5 homes are foreclosure homes. In many parts of Michigan banks have stopped foreclosing on homes because the homes have no value. I believe it will take 2-3 years for the country to come out of it's housing woes. There simply are not enough qualified buyers to buy the huge inventory of homes across the country. I voted for president Bush but if one does their research they will find that President Bush mandated Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to eliminate down payments and ease credit restrictions so that more Americans could buy homes and experience the "American Dream of home Ownership". Look up "State of the Unions" given by President Bush primarily in 2002 and 2004. This gave banks the green light to create loans with less than normal credit restrictions and the landslide began.
